We are pleased to announce that HMBIA has confirmed the start of the host city bidding process, after which the Battle of the Nations 2021 host city will be selected. Have you ever dreamed of being a part of history? Do you think that your city is ready to host the World Championship in Historical Medieval Battle? Join the host city race!
The process will take place in several phases.
STEP 1. Start the application procedure
Send an official letter to email@example.com with the following information:
– information about you and your organization team
– short report about your experience in the organization of big events (especially medieval festivals), sponsors and partners you already have and support from the local government you have received for previous events
– presentation of the city you would like to suggest for the organization of the Battle of the Nations
– short motivation letter
STEP 2. Get the specifications
All successful candidates will receive official letters with detailed presentation materials of the event that can be used for negotiations with the local authorities and contractors. We will also send all interested cities and regions the document laying out the criteria they need to meet in order to host BotN.
STEP 3. Be ready to present the venue at the General Assembly
The most interesting projects will be presented during the HMBIA General Assembly that takes place on December 7-8th in Riga.
STEP 4. Meet the HMBIA reps
The HMBIA officials overseeing the selection process can choose to visit cities and regions that are still in the race and initiate meetings with the authorities.
STEP 5. Sign the papers
The host city for the 11th Battle of the Nations will be decided in consultation with the HMBIA Advisory Board following an assessment of all the bids. After signing the agreement with the host party, an official announcement will appear on all HMBIA sources.
All the cities interested in hosting the Battle of the Nations 2021 that lost the race for the year 2021 will automatically be incorporated in the following bids for the years 2023 and 2025 if desired.
