The 1st Azincourt tournament will take place in three weeks on 22 July! Azincourt is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in Northern France. The competition will include WMFC profights, “21 vs 21″ and mass battle categories.

Here is the schedule of the tournament. It will start at 10 am and finish at 6 pm UTC+02. In the morning, the audience will see the WMFC profights, “21 vs 21” battles – in the afternoon and mass battles – in the evening. For now, there are more than 60 fighters registered in three alliances: Arsanctor, the Veterans and the UK/Netherlands alliance. The battles will be tough as the members of these teams are well-known fighters. Arsanctor: “Ar Groaz Du”, “Sanctis Draconis Petrocoria”, “Exactorform Mortis”. The Veterans: “Aquila Sequania”, “Confrérie des Loups”, “Hommes du Nord”, “Martel” and teams from the UK and the Netherlands. According to the organizational team member, the fourth alliance is to be formed as well.

The organizational team also added that the accommodation for the fighters is provided and participation is free for the athletes. All fighters are invited to enlist before the 12th of July!

The winners will get handmade historical clay pottery plates and cups offered by «La Poterie des Grands Bois» as a prize. This tournament is a part of the “Azincourt medieval festival” – it is a big reenactment festival with musicians, dancers, equestrian show, archery, market, huge medieval camp and, of course, a big reenactment battle.
