Tapsell, New Zealand: “The most important thing is to get fun participating in the tournament!”

Participating in the World Championship in HMB “Battle of the Nations”-2014, the men of our team got a lot of experience and excellent skills. We have learned much about the art of combat, about attack and defense… Also, now we know more about the tactics of the best teams in the world.

The acquired knowledge will not be lost in vain! We’ll use it to train new fighters for the National Team of New Zealand. Also, it is possible that next year we will participate in the “21 vs 21″ category together with the Australian Team. This is also a new experience that will be very useful.

We know that at “Battle of the Nations”-2014, our team made a few mistakes while fighting, which prevented us from going up the grid. Having watched videos of our fights, we’ve learned a lot and now can avoid those mistakes.

We can tell any new team or fighter that safety is the top priority! First of all, make sure your armor is in good condition and comfortable for you. In this case, your armor won’t complicate the fight, but will protect you. Also, use simple techniques and tactics. And the most important thing is – get fun participating in the tournament!

Good luck!

Charlie Tapsell,
captain of the National Team of New Zealand
