Tamas Nagy & Borbala Koller, Hungary: “These are fifteenth century costumes”

14 May 2015 11:50

“There is no reason to follow the movement, unless you are in love with historical medieval re-enactment. I wear the  dress with front lacing, so to be able to put it on by myself.  I’ve bought my shoes, the stockings and the belt, so I can say my costume is partially hand-made.

Besides the costume that I personally like, Tamas wears the sign of The Order of the Dragon, that was founded in 1408 by Sigismund, King of Hungary, to fight the Ottoman Turks.

These are fifteenth century costumes and now I like this medieval period even more than the previous one. Don’t believe it, when they say, that the earlier medieval periods are harder to re-enact; it is almost the same cost. I’ve been through it, but then I decided that fifteenth century suits me better than the eleventh as it is more progressive. What’s more, I met Tamas, who prefers fifteenth century as well”.
