HMB sport became more popular in Serbia compared to the previous year. We have new clubs and a large support group for the teams. Now all the fighters are having rest, as the season is over, and improving their armor and fitness. We are working on the organization of a national tournament which is to be held next spring. We also hope to participate in “Battle of the Nations”-2015 if it is held in Europe, not far from us. Frankly speaking, our participation in the Championship is strongly dependent on the tournament venue.

Our participation in the World Championship in HMB “Battle of the Nations”-2014 was an important step for us. It was interesting for us to look at the event with our own eyes. We got a lot of experience, both combat and organizational. In addition, after the event, our fighters began to take the requirements of authenticity more seriously. Now they understand the need to comply with the requirements, and, of course, are aware of the importance of armor safety. So, compared to the previous year, our standards of authenticity increased significantly!

Personally for me, authenticity is very important, as in addition to the membership in the Authenticity Committee of the “Battle of the Nations”-2014, I am a member of a reenactment club called “Company of the Golden Keg” (Serbia). My enthusiasm brought me to “Battle of the Nations.” One day I saw a Facebook post by Laurent Bemtgen saying that the Authenticity Committee needed some help… I asked him whether I could join. He was not against that and I could not miss the opportunity, as it was very interesting!
