At Battle of the Nations X in Serbia, the Authenticity Committee will be having multiple contests and awards for various aspects of the event. Only national teams and their civil participants will be allowed to compete.
The Best Individual Authentic Armour (unisex)
Judges will be AC Officers, the HMBIA President, and Vice-President. We will also take online Facebook “likes” into account but will not be the absolute decision. The social media vote will be done as follows: the BOTN social media team will upload pictures taken at the event during the display. We will take a “like” count before end of competition. Winner of likes will get 5 pts, 4 pts for second, 3 pts for third, etc….
Standards being judged by:
1. Historic Sources Armour is based on. Judges will score from 1 to 5 based on Judges preference of matching suit to sources.
2. Materials of Armour. Material will be evaluated as follows: Entire Suit Modern Appearance Fiber and or modern metals (stainless steel/titanium) will be scored as a 1. Half of Suit made with modern materials will be scored as a 3. None of Suit made with modern materials will be scored as a 5.
3. Aesthetic Appearance. This will be rated 1 to 5 based on Judges preference.

1. AC Officers will offer you the opportunity to enter this contest based on Online submissions
2. Before 25 April You may email your sources to the following email laurence.lagnese@hmbia.com. If not please be sure to bring your sources with you to the event.
3. Attend the display in full kit at the event – time and day still to be announced.
The Best Male and Female Authentic Costume:

3. Aesthetic Appearance. This will be rated 1 to 5 based on judges’ preference.

The Best Medieval Camp:
Judges will be AC Officers
Standards being judged by:
1. Consistency of maintaining historic camp. Will be rated 1 to 5 near end of event
2. Cleanliness of camp, (will not be judged while a team is armoring up for a match). Will be rated 1 to 5 near end of event
3. Displaying medieval “methods” of camping. Will be rated 1 to 5 near the end of the event.
Participation: Having a camp in the Historic section of camping.
Best Team Authentic Armour:
Will be AC officers and the HMBIA President and Vice President.
Standards being judged by:
1. Historic Appearance. Will be rated 1 to 5 based on Judge Preference
2. Maintaining overall Appearance for the tournament. Will be rated 1 to 5 once all tournaments are completed
3. Aesthetic Appearance. Will be rated 1 to 5 based on judges preference.
Participation:
1. AC will consider teams based on the number of corrections needed during the online submission
2. AC will take into account how well teams maintain historic appearance and aesthetic throughout the tournament
