My first BotN: Misch Mühlen (Luxembourg)

Last year the Luxembourg national team managed to return to the HMB World Championship Battle of the Nations after a period of absence! Misch Mühlen, Vice-captain of the Luxembourg national team, told HMBIA News about his own debut in Serbia.

“That year I was called to compete in the Sword and Shield category and finished first in my group. In the first match of the play off stage I lost by one point against the Spanish duelist. It was frustrating because the reason was due to armour failure and not for lack of fighting skills. It taught me to check my armour before every fight to be sure everything’s in its place!”  Misch Mühlen recalls.

Also, Misch got the chance to fight in the new mass battle category 30 vs 30  as a member of The Varangian Guard where he stood shoulder to shoulder with warriors from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan.

“It was mind blowing to compete with and against so many fighters. I am very thankful that I had the chance to fight with the team, even though I only provided myself as a fighter.

Overall a very cool and amazing experience to attend such an event”.

The HMBIA News editorial office hopes that next year we will see a strong showing from the Luxembourg national team in as many categories as they are able!
