Roberto Fontana:
“We’ve been training hard all the year round for the “Battle of the Nations”-2018. Italian team this year is very strong. The World Championship in HMB held in Italy is a “dream comes true”, and we will give everything in the lists. We have a good, well-trained team this year. So I’m proud of my guys”.
 

“I think that a battle vs France will be epic. Last year we lost, and we are not very happy with it. This year we have to win”.

Roberto`s National Team mate Sergio Quattrini is also ready to fight and does the last little changes to his armour kit. He will be fighting in the “Polearm” duel and in the buhurt “21 vs 21″ categories. But this year, he made a double work to prepare for the World Championship in HMB “Battle of the Nations”, as Sergio will be a trainee Marshal as well. So, it will be a hard tournament for him.

Sergio Quattrini:
“I took part in all sparring fights I can with my team. The “Polearm” is a new category, and it is a discovery for me. But I’m a trainee Marshal, I must find the time also to wear in yellow. I just tried to marshal in Italy for a qualification tournament. I don’t know a category I will judge – this is a decision taken from the Marshals committee”.

During the process of preparations, Italians did a great job in the lists and studied Russian training techniques. They are trying to get as much knowledge and experience as possible and become better and better each year.
