It is worth noting that in the UAE they are extremely proud of their traditions and culture, but at the same time they follow the covenants of the elders that they should be open to the cultures of other countries and respect them. That’s why the HMB stand was of great interest among visitors. According to the HMBIA representatives, almost all visitors said they had never seen anything like it. But many guests of the stand admitted that they would like to see such a tournament live.
The booth was especially popular among young visitors. Children were delighted with the set of the medieval armor presented at the stand. Many took pictures to capture the moment.
According to Ivan Koryagin, visitors to the booth, mostly young people, learning about HMB, showed interest in sports and would like to know how people fought during the Middle Ages without the use of firearms:
“They perceive everything, first of all, from the point of view of personal impressions, immersiveness, they want to try it themselves, they are looking for new emotions. They ask where you can see the fights and when. They want spectacles and impressions. ”
In addition, during a working visit, representatives of the HMBIA and Buhurt League had business meetings at the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Sports of Abu Dhabi where the possibilities of further cooperation and organization of HMB tournaments in the territory of the United Arab Emirates were discussed.
This could mean the start of an exciting new expansion for the HMB movement, opening possibilities in new parts of the world, reaching new audiences, and encouraging new fighters to take to the lists. Stay tuned for further updates regarding this tremendous opportunity for everyone involved.
