During the work of the HMBIA General Assembly , many questions were raised regarding the development of the HMB-movement in principle and about the HMB-sport in particular, but one of the most important news of the Assembly was the announcement of the date and venue of the HMB World Championship “Battle of Nations”-2018. As already known, the tournament will be held in Italy May, 3 -6 . The city, which will host the main HMB-sport tournament organizers will announce later.
Also there was the discussion concerning legionaries in the National Teams. The participants of the Assembly decided that the rules for dueling nominations and “5vs5″ bugurts remain unchanged – no legionaries. But the nominations “3vs3″ and “21vs21″ have got some changes. In particular, in the female bugourt “3vs3″ of the declared 5 fighters, no more than 2 can be legionaries. Also in the “21vs21″ – a third of the team can consist of legionnaires and there can be 7 such fighters on the field at the same time. Responsibility for the number of legionnaires in the team and on the list is borne by the National team captain.
Also in the tournament standings of the HMB World Championship “Battle of the Nations”- 2018 there will be profights as the separate nomination. The organizers of the tournament are sure that such an experiment will only benefit the Championship and in the future profights will be the part of the “Battle of the Nations”.
In addition, a few questions have been put to the vote of the National Federations that signed the agreement with the HMBIA. Until November 15, 2017 it is necessary to consider the possibility to introduce “5vs5″ women’s mixed category instead of “3vs3″. Also, the National Federations will consider the possibility to change regulations on National Team recognition at “Battle of the Nations”-2018. How exactly will go through the voting process representatives of HMBIA will announce later.
During the discussion of the Championship, it was decided to tighten control over the tabards for the National teams. Now they will be tested like the weapons and armor of the participants. Such step can enhance the aesthetics and entertainment of the sport. Rules and requirements for tabards should be developed by the end of October 2017.
