– Aleksei Lyalyushko, organizer of the international championship in historical medieval battle “Call of Heroes II»:
“Regarding the “Call of Heroes”, we always want to make it better, to attract more participants. Such large-scale events are always hard to organize, as you have to create comfortable conditions for the participants, offer infrastructure, ensure coordination, etc… In general, the event was a success (for historical fencing in Ukraine), as it gathered a large number of participants from throughout the country, which is still quite a rarity for Ukrainian festivals. Almost all Ukrainian HMB teams were represented.”
The championship ended, its participants returned home to repair armor, develop new tactics, improve their fitness. The offseason will be over soon and Michael’s Gate of the “Kievan Rus” Park will open and welcome men in colorful clothing, the clang of weapons and armor will be heard in the air. And we, like everyone else, will wait for the new “Call of Heroes”, new festivals, and, of course, new champions.
We’ll inform you on the results of the Ukrainian season of the year 2014 in the near future. Just wait!
