The National team of Brazil came to Barcelona in 2017 to take part in the HMB World Championship Battle of the Nations for the first time. They appeared at the tournament in high spirits. Full of inspiration and excitement. However, they were ill prepared and their armor was a joke. That’s what João Zerbinatti, fighter for the brazilian 2017 team, told HMB news.

“The first Battle of the Nations was certainly the one we acted most irrationally. We were not ready, our armour was not so good. But we still came to Barcelona, realized all our weaknesses and managed to evolve as soon as possible. The most striking point was after the fights. I think the fight itself lasted about 1 minute for us, but the relief of all of us being healthy and well with all that accumulated knowledge generated the joy that resulted in one of the biggest parties I have ever seen”,- mentioned João.

For those who don’t remember, in Barcelona Brazilians gathered almost the whole camp for a barbecue, which was built on top of João`s old armor pieces: 

“Yes I was a little angry with my armor. So, decided to improve my armor set right after the Battle of the Nations.”

The party was very large and much fun. Here all the fighters who lived in the camp got to know each other. And it didn’t matter what country you were from and what language you spoke – everyone found a common language.

This is what the Battle of the Nations is famous for – outside the arena, formidable fighters become close friends and the atmosphere of friendship and support is simply incredible!
