Volunteer aspect of the Battle of the Nations
In two and a half months, we are expecting a grand event — “World Championship on historical medieval battle”, which will bring together participants and spectators from all over the world. But there is another group of people without whom there is no “Battle of the Nations” – volunteers. Long before the start of the tournament they begin their work: preparing documents for national teams and decorations for the Championship.
Kharkiv and Lviv were usual base of volunteers, but this year we have expanded the geography set and received application forms from Kiev, Chernigov, Cherkassy, Odesa and Kryvyi Rih. We have tested over hundreds of applicants who wishes to become a part of the volunteer team at “Battle of the Nations – 2017″, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain.
Volunteers will work in such areas: the secretariat, the tournament tent, the stewards, the logistics, the team coordinators, and, of course, the technical team. This year, volunteers will have to work in a difficult way, because there will be two locations at the “Battle of the Nations” where volunteers must move quickly and flexibly. So our team coordinators and logistics department have to rack one’s brains and think of how they should be present in two places at the same time. However, we are sure that the World Championship will be held up on a high level and all who, in one way or another, participated in this incredible event would get a lot of impressions.
