“BATTLE OF THE NATIONS 2017. Host City Announcement”

“Battle of the Nations”-2017 –  the biggest event in the world of Historical Medieval Battle, which sparks a flame in everybody’s heart, who is in one way or another involved in the rapidly developing sports movement of historical competition. Whether you are a fighter of a national team or just a fan, when the thought of the eighth edition of the biggest international competition of nations hits you, your heart starts to racing in anticipation of the grand journey into the Middle Ages.

 

The speculations about the time and place of the next “Battle of the Nations” continued throughout 2016; constant debate in social networks, both between fans of HMB and immediate participants of the movement, were regular occurrences. Only at the end of the year, during the HMBIA Summit 2016 in Milan, the tentative announcement was made – Barcelona (Spain), 29 April -1 May 2017 or Petrin Hill, Prague (Czech Republic), 29 April -2 May 2017.

 

 

This information provoked yet another wave of speculation and arguments and the main question of the passing year was – “Barcelona or Prague?”. Everyone remembered the “Battle of the Nations”, which took place in Prague, the city has left its nostalgic mark on the memories of all the participants and spectators and deservedly so. While the capital of the Czech Republic became a choice of people, who believe that the place proved to be worthy, the majority of HMB movement’s participants crossed their fingers in hopes of Barcelona as a location, because such a geographical position of the “Battle of the Nations” is a huge step in the development of the championship and movement as a whole.

 

The moment we have all been waiting for has finally come, the World Championship in HMB “Battle of the Nations”-2017 will take place in Barcelona, Spain!

 

Therefore, the tournament dates are 29 April – 1 May 2017. The decision has been made and now it is time to exhale, relax and peacefully wait for the upcoming grand event, which annually gathers people from all around the world, the people who are insanely in love with one common thing – Historical Medieval Battle.
