Ukraine. Final results of 2014 HMB season

30 Sep 2014 17:14

Ukrainian season of the year 2014 consisted of six tournaments, it began in April and ended in September. Results of the tournaments can be used to make a rating grid of clubs and their teams.

The tournaments of the year 2014 were the following:

April 12-13, Dnipropetrovsk, qualifying battles for places in the National Team of Ukraine;
May 31-June 1, Kyiv region, “Kievan Rus” park, “Call of Heroes I»;
June 28-29, Trostyanets, Sumy region, “Stara Fortetsia” (Old Fortress);
July 12-13, Shestovitsa village, Chernihiv region, “Siverskyi Vikings”;
July 25-27, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi region, “Outpost”;
September 20-21, Kyiv region, “Kievan Rus” park, “Call of Heroes I?”.

Thus, we see that the season was rich in events. And taking into account the fact that many of the teams had international trips (the teams left almost every two weeks!), we can say with absolute confidence that the fighters almost had no time to lay down arms.

However, it will be logical and fair to take into account only national events while dealing with the rating grid. It should be noted that changes in personnel inside teams throughout the season are not taken into account, as well as involvement of foreign mercenaries. Achievements of the team as a single entity having its own name, brand or relation to some other club were taken into consideration.

Talking about the season, we can say that the main feature that determined it was a bright competition between the famous alliance of clubs called DZKh, on the one hand, and a young union of “Knyaz” and “Ayna Bera” clubs, on the other. The unions had a serious competition between them, they demonstrated bright and interesting battles. Sometimes, to determine the winner, not only victories got in rounds, but the number of “fallen” and “alive” figters mattered. So, the main intrigue of the season was an opposition between the DZKh alliance and union of “Knyaz” and “Ayna Bera” clubs. What was the outcome?

Tournament held in Dnipropetrovsk was the first one in a series of tournaments of the Ukrainian championship. The start of the club championship was marked by qualifiers for places in the Ukrainian National Team.
