Morgulis, Israel: “I like all categories!”

10 Nov 2014 12:42

I came to HMB sport after role-playing games, I always liked role-playing buhurts. Then some guys showed me that there were full contact buhurts as well… It was the way everything started! I’ve been fighting on steel weapons since 2011 and I’ve been engaged in MMA-light since 2010, which helps me on the lists, as there are many similar techniques, and MMA develop my endurance. Full contact fighting in armor means adrenaline, techniques, tactics, willpower and teamwork for me.

I believe that the most important thing for a fighter is his desire to fight. The rest is only a nice addition. The basis of preparation for tournaments is training aimed at general fitness and endurance.

My armor represents Western Europe, the end of the 14th century. The choice is simple – it is the most appropriate period, as armor offers good protection and does not hinder movements.

I prefer falchions for buhurts, and straight sword for historical fencing. I also like two-handed swords.

I like all the categories, but the group battles are the most interesting to me. My favorite category is “5 vs 5″, as it’s the only team martial art in the world, where victory depends solely on each fighter.
