Well, unfortunately we had to withdraw team Austria-1, due to some injuries and technical problems, from the Austria CUP Tournament in Hainburg the weekend before BotN. Team Austria 2 was formed of a lot of very young and novice fighters who still have a lack of experience, some problems with their armor. They did well enough, but of course we expected better performance this year.

We learned from out defeats. Next year we will be stronger. The battles seemed fair. Honestly, I didn’t notice any anger between the teams. In my oponion the marshalling this year was weak. I don’t know why, perhaps it’s due to the fact a lot of young and unexperienced marshals participated, but compared to the last year it was a mess.

For me and all my team the clear newcomer of the year was Team Mexico. They fought tough and hard, having only 5 fighters, without taking any legionaires from other teams, they made it to the Top 16 Teams. They should have gotten the award for best debute (Newcomer of the Year), because their performance was great and their effort to join this event was extraordinary.
